Three wise men… Seriously? I will tease my husband, saying that was sign enough, Jesus was born for three wise men to congregate in the same place- at the same time! In seriousness there may have actually been more than three! We assume there were only three, because of the record scripture gives us of the gifts they brought.
Matthew 2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
We also assume that the wise men were at the manager the night Jesus was born, but according to the above reference it states when they were come into the house. The wise men worshiped Jesus in a house.
To be wise we must be like the wise men and worship Jesus. In this house we worship One God, and his name is Jesus! We are from the Appalachians, where Bill Engvall is a household name and Here’s Your Sign is a common phrase, but more common in our house is the signs that point to Jesus Christ!
