No Labeling

At Christmas we label each package with an appropriate name. We set it under our tree until Christmas arrives, after Christmas the label is thrown out and little more is ever thought of the label.
In life once a label has been placed on us it is rarely revoked. Think about  these labels: a thief, a liar, a prostitute, drug addict or trouble-maker ~ once one has acquired these labels it often becomes their own coat of arms they survive on. It is easier to be what people say they are, rather than to be who God says they are. Forgiven!
I am careful in labeling people, but if I must label I would simply label us all in one category ~SINNERS! Some of us may be in a forgiven state others may not have ask for the forgiveness that God has readily available, either way we are sinners. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.~Romans 3:23 We are all in need of a Saviour and Jesus is our saving grace. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.  I encourage each of you this Christmas as we enter the season to give a gift to the person you may have placed a label on offer them hope and love, as God has offered you.

Hint~ Love sometimes comes in the way of coffee or hot chocolate! 😉

  1. Thank you for sharing this thought. So true, and it not only blesses them to change he label, it bless us to, releasing us from those negative feelings. A great prompt, thank you.
