JUST GO——–>

Each of us are commissioned to Go! I think the difficulty at times is we somehow believe our assignment is not as important as our brothers.  By hook or crook in the church community, we have managed to romanticize living the life of a missionary in Africa or we have even become envious of the TV evangelist -out to make a name for himself, doing Gods’ work in pretense, collecting widows money and evangelizing in the Bahamas on these snowing cold nights we are enduring. 😉

I am here to proclaim that your “GO” is every bit as important if you our sent to collect the one in the holler in Kentucky or the three upon the mountain top of Tennessee, the cowboy on the ranch in Texas, or the one down at the local garage. God loves everyone equally!  If we can focus and work on the assignment we have been sent, then I am persuaded the Kingdom of God would begin to grow and hell wouldn’t be happy!

It says to “GO” ye into all the world~that sounds to me like some of us may be going into the cracks and cervices to dig them out. It ain’t gonna be pruty~ as we say here in the Appalachia. Somebody is going to have to get down and dirty. It ain’t gonna be easy or we ain’t promised a 5 star resort, but we are still commissioned to go.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:~Matthew 28:19 KJV

How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?~Matthew 18:12~KJV

Our very mission could be that Jesus is sending us to that one that went astray.

What makes us believe we our better than our Saviour is beyond me!  The Son of Man had no place to lay his head. Why do we buy into all this Jazz that we should be living in beach condo’s driving pink vintage Cadillac’s and drinking pretty little virgin martini’s?  We weren’t promised comfortable, but we were promised a Comforter.

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.~John 14:26~KJV

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;~John 14:16~KJV

Dear Lord Jesus,
I praise you for you sending someone my way in the hollor in Kentucky. I thank you for your grace that was so mercifully sent to me and someone delivering the “GOOD NEWS”. I ask tonight please never let me live beneath your privileges, but help me to always remain humble. I am willing to “GO” to the one with the “GOOD NEWS” and do not seek to make a name for me, but only to magnify you. ~I Love you Jesus~In your Name I pray.~Amen

Keeping It Simple

Very Nice!

Our Party of Six

Happy 2015!!

It was close to 4am when we got home from celebrating the new year, therefore I am in awe at the fact that my cubs are all wide awake and chatting it up right now at 11:30pm in Cub 2’s bedroom.  They have been going strong all day without napping!  They are SO off-schedule and SO not ready to return to school on Monday.  Honestly, I’m not ready for them to return to school either!  No bedtimes, no waking up to the alarm clock, no homework…which reminds me…I should probably check their backpacks just in case we had homework that we were supposed to complete over the winter break, and no outfits to plan.  It’s been great having multiple pajama days where neither vehicle has had to be moved from the driveway. {insert HUGE SIGH here} I guess I’ll start the countdown to spring break!

So, I had…

You Can’t Earn It, You Can’t Lose it, but You Can Resist It!

Mark it down: God loves you with an unearthly love. You can’t win it by being winsome. You can’t lose it by being a loser. But you can be blind enough to resist it. ~Excerpt From 3:16, The Numbers of Hope

18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.~Ephesians 3:18-19

And to *know* the Love of Christ which passes all knowledge stood out to me. Can I fully know comprehend the love of Jesus? It surpasses my earthly knowledge yet touches my heart and changes my life.

Grasp that what Jesus did was enough. It was enough love that we can now live full healthy lives and have hope of eternal life with him. It is a love we have trouble often understanding, especially for those who have been rejected by people they loved dearly. They can trust God when all others have let them down!

Thank you Jesus we can’t win your love by being good or lose it by being bad, but we can resist it. Please, Father help us not to resist, but grasp your love in its fulness and share it with others in our communities.~In Jesus Name we Pray~Amen

Are You Lonely, Anxious or Feel Like You’re Up The Creek?

“Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work.”~Mother Teresa

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.~John 14:18~KJV

I would think anxiety was hitting the disciples. They had walked with Jesus 3 years. Witnessed many miracles, but now Jesus was leaving and they couldn’t even comprehend where he was going. Some of them may have felt betrayed as we feel when someone exits our lives. They must have felt scared and alone. But Jesus introduced to them a new idea. He told them they would never be alone and that the Holy Ghost would be a teacher and bring things to their remembrance. The Holy Ghost would be a comforter to them.

When we feel afraid or alone the same spirit that Jesus told the disciples about he promised to us today. That same spirit that raised Jesus up will take us home someday! Take Comfort in the Holy Ghost!

Thank you Jesus for the comfort of the Holy Ghost and we are never alone and we do not have to be afraid! Please help us reach our communities with this message as they are so many facing fears, dealing with hopelessness, and anxieties.~In Jesus Name We Pray Amen

Reformation Study Bible~14:18 I will come to you.
Jesus refers primarily to the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, since the mutual indwelling, “you in me, and I in you” (v. 20), will not await the Second Coming of Christ. But these words are also appropriate for the hope of the church. Jesus will return to take the redeemed with Him (vv. 3, 19, 28; Acts 1:11).

Just Who Do You Think You Are?

Who am I to impact my community?

You are who God says you are: “spiritually alive.” Heavenly positioned, “seated with him in the heavenly realms.” “One with Jesus Christ.”~From Cast of Characters~ Max Lucado

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly
places in Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the
exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ
Jesus.Eph. 2:6-7~KJV

Who am I to impact my community? I am His Period! The world may see my
past and remind me of it. I may be called an ignorant Appalachian, a
quitter, or a many number of choice names, but what matters is what God
says about me. God says, I am made alive through him, I am seated in
heavenly places in Christ Jesus, I am one with Jesus! Grace Defines Me!

We together can make a difference. We must utilize our past to help someone see their
future. If God brought us out and showed us grace, love, kindness and
mercy we can use our story to help others see there value to God and offer
hope!

Father God, as we begin this study we ask that your anointing be with us. Let
us freely offer to our communities what you have already paid the price
for. You were manifest in the flesh and crucified on the cross to offer
us hope. Your grace re-wrote our story.~ We Thank You for All You have
done and the hope you have given.~In Jesus Name I Pray~Amen

Are Ya Boot Knockin’ on Saturday Night and Singin’ Amazin’ Grace Come Sunday Mornin’?

One might hear, here in the Appalachian you cain’t dance with the devil and hold hands with the Lord! 🙂
We can’t be double minded, unstable, and two-timing or we may miss the blessings of the Lord. Our Faith will be destroyed! We are witnesses to the world and represent Christ. We must behave in a pleasing manner to him and lay our life down for him as he has done for us. We can’t go clubbing on Saturday, or gay bars, or parties in the woods getting high on shine! We ruin our testimony and our influence. One party can be expensive and cost dearly! We must be careful where we park our boots!

Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.~Amos 5:15

Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.~Malachi 3:18

Are You Treating The Word of God with a Lukewarm attitude Out of a Halfhearted Heart?

As I was killing time on Pinterest I had many quotes and scriptures that stood out to me. I read the scripture on a meme I had read countless times before. This time, it made me stand at attention! Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. Matthew 10:32

I believe I would be safe in saying I have posted this scripture to my Facebook page over the years. I stood at attention to this passage that I precariously posted, without really making a point to make it a declaration. I had to check myself. I do not want to treat The Word of God with a lukewarm attitude, out of a halfhearted heart. I want to be assured it is confessed with my mouth, believed on in my heart, and retained in my mind, body and spirit. The Word of God-is life, it will make us healthy, it will sustain us. It will awaken, make alive and cause us to grow into maturity. I want to take it serious and live transformed by it. When I speak it I want to do it making a declaration of it’s truth and that I will stand on it and live by it!

Do You Have Big Plans For 2015?

I do indeed have big plans and High Expectations! I actually have God sized dreams! I realize “I” gets me in trouble. I had to stop and understand beside God I can do nothing! I have all these plans that I wanted to get started on. Then I was reminded are these plans, the plans the Lord has for me? I want my plans to be in alinement with Gods plans. I want to reevaluate my motives. Am I trying to make a name for myself or am I magnifying the name above all names, Jesus? If it doesn’t bring glory and honor to him I need to rearrange and change my thoughts and motives.

I said to the LORD, “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.” ~Psalm 16:2~NLT

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.~John 15:5

I do not want to put limits on God by my piddly dreams. If I give him the reins he can dream far better and open many doors that I can’t comprehend! My High Expectations are given to the Dream Master!

I am willing and ready. Lord!
